The South American Bumblebee Catfish, scientifically known as Microglanis iheringi, is a small, peaceful, and popular freshwater catfish native to the Orinoco and Meta River drainages in South America. They are known for their striking black-and-tan color pattern, which resembles a bumblebee. These catfish are bottom-dwelling, enjoying dim lighting and soft water. They are relatively easy to care for in aquariums and are a good choice for community tanks.
