The Black Emperor Tetra (Nematobrycon palmeri var. “Amphiloxus Black”) is a color morph of the Emperor Tetra, known for its striking satin black body and blue or green eyes. It’s considered a hardy, adaptable, and peaceful fish, making it suitable for many community aquariums. Males are larger than females and have elongated dorsal and caudal fins, including a “trident” tail.
