The zebra spiny eel, scientifically named Macrognathus zebrinus, is a freshwater fish species native to Myanmar, specifically the Irrawaddy, Sittang, and Salween rivers. It’s known for its distinct zebra-like pattern of dark vertical bars with pale outlines on its sides and a vertically striated caudal fin with small black spots.
