The Forktail Blue-eye Rainbowfish, scientifically known as Pseudomugil furcatus, is a small, colorful freshwater fish native to Papua New Guinea. They are known for their vibrant blue eyes, yellow accents on their fins (sometimes described as “pom-poms”), and a forked tail. These peaceful fish are often kept in schools in aquariums, with at least six individuals recommended.
