The Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish, scientifically named Melanotaenia praecox, is a small, vibrant rainbowfish native to New Guinea and Indonesia. They are known for their iridescent blue bodies and red-orange fins in males, with females having a more silvery body and yellow fins. Dwarf Neon Rainbowfish are peaceful, schooling fish that thrive in a community aquarium, especially when kept in groups of at least six.
