The Black Shark Minnow, also known as the Black Labeo or Black Shark, is a large freshwater fish from Southeast Asia in the carp family. It can reach up to 3 ft (90 cm) in length and 15 lbs (7 kg) in weight. They are hardy omnivores and grazers, often found in the Mekong and Chao Phraya river basins. While sometimes seen in the aquarium trade, they are generally unsuitable for home aquariums due to their size and potential for aggression.
