The Cichlidae family contains over 1,200 species of fish, the majority of which are found in the Tanganyika and Malawi Lakes of central Africa. Featuring Peacocks, Haplochromis, Mbuna, Predator haps and Tan.

These semi to agressive fish should be considered when choosing tank mates for your cichlids.  They are very colorful with sleek bodies allowing them to move quickly.  Aquariums should have plenty of space for the fish to swim.
